New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Known also as the latter half of art-rock duo Eagle and Talon, Kim Talon has released the debut LP for her solo project JAN on November 13th via Enclaves Music. Produced by John Goodmanson (Blonde Redhead, The Gossip, Sleater-Kinney), the record packs a mean punch with riot grrrl-infused vocals, fuzzy guitars, and blissed-out grunge rhythms.
"Artsy rock goddess" - MAXIM
"shoegaze-y, grunge … with a touch of riot grrrl." - PAPER Magazine
"... just enough noisy, riot grrl-flecked angst to make it the perfect soundtrack for stomping the shit out of some fallen foliage." - VICE's Noisey
Album track "All Of These Igloos" is a melancholic song with a sweet melody led by simple piano plucks. We shared the song as a FREE download with Refinery 29 recently and today you can check out the artsy video for the track which was directed by Matthew Robinson (JOGGER). The video, which features a synchronized interpretive dance routine with avant dancer/choreographer Jasmine Albuquerque, premiered with American Songwriter today!
