CAMBRIDGE, MA (www.caraaley.com) - Boston's electrified folk rocker Cara Aley has licensed her song 'Figure It Out' with Pure Tone Music Publishing. Aley, 26, was offered the single-song licensing deal by Pete Ganbarg, President of Pure Tone Music and former A&R senior representative for Epic and Arista record companies. Ganbarg operates Pure Tone Music and its affiliate publishing company Pure Tone Music Publishing out of New Jersey. The publishing deal allows Aley's femininely introspective acoustic song to be picked up for film and television use. 'It's nice to feel that the effort I put into making the CD is being acknowledged. That kind of affirmation helps keep the fire in me burning to work hard,' said Aley. 'Music is my passion and I will do it for myself forever, but to keep moving forward with such intensity is a whole lot easier when you feel that people want to hear it.' Other artists that Aley has been published alongside include New York's Heath Brandon and Ohio's Will Bowen. 'Figure It Out' is home to Aley's second album, Bend. The collection has garnered attention from Awarestore.com, Radioio's Acoustic, Fresh Tracks Music, AlternativeAddiction.com, Whole Wheat Radio and DiscoveringArtists.com. Aley's music is available on a number of compilation CDs including AlternativeAddiction.com Volume 3 and Boston's Best Singer Songwriters Volume 5.
