Friday December 7th Cocoon Heroes New York... Into The Magic
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blkmarket Membership) They are back. Cocoon Heroes team up once again with Blkmarket Membership for a night of sonic gratification. This Friday, December 7th, the raging affair that is Cocoon brings you some electronic debauchery - a night where sound will destroy, relentlessly but sweetly, in other words you will be wading into the techno spectrum with deadly precision.

Hailing from Turkey, Onur Ozer began his career in the late nineties when minimal and tech-house were making resurgence in Istanbul. Battling to change old rules, to break old habits, he helped breath fresh life into a dispirited club scene. Armed with his vinyl case, still dressed in his shabby student clothes, he entered the clubs to share his biggest passion, the penetrating sound that is electronic music. Ozer helped found a number of new, vanguard venues, bringing new sounds and styles to Turkey's capital. In 2002 he began to export this warm Istanbul-sound to different cities in Germany. Since then he has kept the crowds dancing in such venues as Robert Johnson, Harry Klein, Studio 672 and Kerosin. 2004 witnessed a turning point in his career and he became the resident DJ of the highly rated party series Sweet Sense, welcoming many international acts.

In 2005 he released his debut "Freakdisco EP" on Freude Am Tanzen, followed by "Envy EP" on Vakant, and he was soon awarded best newcomer of the year by the German music magazine Groove. His next two EP's on Vakant, "Twighlight" and "Red Cabaret", found their way into the playlists of international trendsetters such as Sven Väth or Ricardo Villalobos. In the meantime, Onur also gained European-wide fame as a skilled DJ. Sven Väth had already taken notice of him and invited him to play at Green&Blue 2008 - not much long after he became part of Cocoon's booking roster.

The Munich native, Tobi Neumann had already made himself a name as producer of movie soundtracks when he got suddenly got infected with electronic music at the '95 Love Parade. From thereon Tobi immersed himself in the scene, and his list of accolades swiftly grew: producer of seminal 'electroclash' artists Chicks on Speed and Miss Kittin, world-renowned house and techno DJ, and chart-topping remixer. Tobi Neumann, a resident of Berlin for the past decade, and a resident DJ and artist for clubbing giant Cocoon, is indisputably one of the more highly respected personalities in electronic music. Production work has been a vital creative outlet for Tobi, and has reinforced him as one of the driving forces of electronic music. He regards original productions, collaborations, remixes and DJ mixes with equal importance, and his raw talent and diversity have seen him at the controls for Chicks On Speed and Miss Kittin, shifting 60,000 gold-certified units with his hit "Meeting The Girls Mix" rework of 2Raumwohnung's "Sexy Girl", being licensed for John Digweed's Transitions series, and recording celebrated sets for Cocoon, Secret Sundaze and V Records.

In recent years, with his international commitments accelerating, Tobi has scaled back his production work to focus on his first love: being a DJ. He is a true veteran in the booth and continues to be invigorated by nightlife, relishing the give & take with the dancefloor, playing techno at house tempo, and house at techno tempo, throwing in unexpected selections, and mixing with his unique signature flair. From his defining fabric debut, to his recent epic 8-hour session for Panorama Bar, to the Terrace of Amnesia, and amongst the sweaty throng of Robert Johnson, Tobi is a master of the craft, working with and for the crowd, and driving them, willingly, to wild abandon.

André Galluzzi started working at a club's bar at the age of 14 years. It was a twist of fate when one night the DJ got sick and André was quickly appointed to act behind the turntables. This experience changed his life completely: His talent did not go unnoticed, and it didn't take long until he started playing at various clubs like the M in Mainz or the legendary Bunker in Berlin. This led to his first residency at the Park Café in Wiesbaden. In 1994, André started pulling the strings of the scene as well. At his new job at the renowned distributer Neuton, he met Paul Brtschitsch with whom he founded the label "TAKSI" in 1995. The first release also received a knightly accolade when it was played by Sven Väth in his "HR3 Clubnight". One year later, moving from Frankfurt to Berlin, he started a residency at Tresor and together with the agency "Good Groove Booking" he also began to play in other countries all over the world. In addition to gigs in Sweden, Canada, Holland and Switzerland, he still paid a lot of passion in his productions.

Richie Hawtin licensed the TAKSI track "Schneesturm" for his label "Plus 8" and André released the compilation "Galluzzi im Garden" on Ostgut in 2003, he produced the album "Night on Earth II" for Ongaku and together with Paul he wrote the track "Maskenball" for the "Cocoon Compilation C". Also in this period another very important step in André's career happened: The inclusion in the roster of Cocoon Booking. Today André Galluzzi is not only known for his new residency at Berghain and Panoramabar or for his extravagant and euphoric performances that often stretch to thrilling 10-hour-sets, but also for being one of the staple international DJs of electronic music. Traveling all over the world, he has become an integral part of the club culture and regularly casts a spell on thousands of clubbers.

Let them channel you to elation, let them translate emotion into sound - lets hear it for these Heroes.

Some words on the event itself and its promoting company: Cocoon, founded by Sven Väth, consists of the record label that spreads high-quality electronic music all over the world, the booking agency that represents the scene's best artists, the unique Cocoonclub in Frankfurt - voted Best Club in the World by UK's Mix Mag -, the successful residency in Ibiza every summer and, several open air events in Germany and other European countries, as well as many festivals where Cocoon is present with its own floor and where our crowd is partying with us like there's no tomorrow...
