Bob Hillary & The Massive Mellow To Release New Album 'Love'
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Quite Great PR) Recorded in a variety of settings around the globe, including India, Amsterdam and Scotland, 'Love' similarly takes in a number of musical influences to produce something special.

Tapping into the current environmental and astrological situations, Bob Hillary and The Massive Mellow spread their message of hope and positivity through the record. Being a lifelong farmer and green supporter himself, Hillary - a relative of legendary explorer Sir Edmund Hillary - understands the environmental changes first-hand and this forms one of the key messages behind the album. Tracks such as 'How Will I Survive' and the sensational lead single 'The Earth Song' transmit this impeccably. Not only do the poignant lyrics put this across, but the music itself conveys a positive call to humanity to act. Since his early days in a band with Chris Martin (Coldplay), Hillary's songwriting talents have clearly flourished.

Building upon their debut album 'Nature's Pace', 'Love' is a laidback yet powerful creation. Collaborating with fellow singer-songwriter Carrie Tree on a number of tracks, including opener 'How Will I Survive', acoustic guitar and delicate, intertwining vocals are often central to the music. Surrounding this basis, combinations of slide and electric guitar, horns, organs and creative beats generate the bands unique sound. A dose of dub is also apparent throughout. The aforementioned single, 'The Earth Song', as well as tracks such as 'I Feel Love Dub' and 'Movin' showcase this excellently. Elsewhere, the twelve song collection seamlessly moves between folk, soul, blues and reggae elements. Notable tracks 'Gently Does It' and 'Little Do They Know' really highlight the melodic capacities of the group. 'Love' is truly a rich and rewarding listen.

Evoking comparisons with artists such as Jack Johnson, Ben Harper and Fat Freddy's Drop, Bob Hillary and The Massive Mellow are set for big things. The release of 'Love' and new single 'The Earth Song' will certainly turn heads towards this burgeoning group.

'reminiscent of Paul Simon... with some dub influences and a world music sensibility' - Kindred Spirit Magazine

'Love' will be released on February 4th and is preceded by lead single 'The Earth Song'.
