Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Kelleemack PR) Los Angeles alternative rock upstarts Beta Wolf herald the start of the holiday season with the release of two special digital EPs. On November 20, they'll drop the five-song Live in Danbury concert EP and the three-song The Slaybell Sessions Christmas EP at a very special 2012 price: $3.99 and $2.99, respectively.
These EPs arrive hot on the heels of their acclaimed Just Before Morning debut EP. Beta Wolf's potent live presence is captured pristinely on Live in Danbury, while The Slaybell Sessions stands out as an upbeat and energetic view of Christmas classics "Happy Xmas (War is Over)" by John Lennon, "Jingle Bell Rock," and "
White Christmas".
About the choice to record their Danbury show this past summer for the EP, singer Grant Arnow comments, "There was an amazing energy from show to show; it seemed like people needed to blow off some steam, which made each night feel like a party. We really wanted to capture the vibe of what we were experiencing, and fortunately, we were able to record our performance in Danbury, Connecticut. We're all really excited with how it turned out."
The band recently teamed up with BUZZNET to premiere their new music video for latest single "Domino," which features footage from the Danbury show and is a perfect viewable glimpse into Beta Wolf's live show, the energy of the crowd, and a feel for what to expect on the live EP. Fans can view the video at https://youtu.be/Yrqehhk_DkM.
Covering anything from Lennon is certainly a big undertaking, but the boys paid tribute by preserving the song's hopeful message. "We connected with John's message of solidarity and selflessness," says Arnow. "Especially in this post-election season, people seem to be sitting on opposite sides of the playground."
After wrapping up a North American jaunt supporting
Daughtry and an explosive sold-out show with
Further Seems Forever at the Troubadour, the group has also lined up a Los Angeles residency. They'll be taking over Club Moscow on November 28, December 12, and December 19. Make sure to catch them.
Beta Wolf—lead vocalist and songwriter Grant Arnow, lead guitarist
