TORONTO, Canad (Ja Rule Fans Website) - Ja Rule appeared in a Toronto courtroom yesterday morning (July 26) to face a charge of assault causing bodily harm. According to a statement from Toronto police, the 28-year-old rapper, turned himself into police earlier this morning. Rule was released on $10,000 bail and ordered to return to court on August 30th. The charges stem from a June 5 incident at La Rouge Nightclub in Toronto, where an 18-year-old was hospitalized after being stabbed in the back. The victim's current health condition is unknown. The Toronto brush with the law follows Ja Rule's arrest earlier this month for misdemeanor possession of marijuana and driving without a license in New York. He pled guilty to driving with a suspended license and paid $550 in fines and court fees. The misdemeanor possession charge apparently was dropped.
