LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Sticky Toffee PR) As a member of established UK grime crew Nationality, Blaze has spent the past few years steadily building a reputation as one of the scene's most best kept secrets. The enigmatic vocalist has previously only released one EP - the critically acclaimed 'Blaze Em EP' - but has kept himself busy collaborating with the likes of Jammer, Mercston, Jammin, Imz and Mr A, and now finds himself firmly on the lips of fans of UK bass music. Blaze even recently appeared live on ESPN, claiming the accolade of being the first rapper to ever introduce a football match on live TV.
'Fly Away' is the first official single release from Blaze, and sees him team up with renowned beatsmith Merlin to present an upbeat, sample-driven piece of genuine hip hop music. Backed by buoyant piano stabs and strikingly soulful vocal samples, Blaze delivers a heart felt, nostalgic piece of wordplay, staying true to his life experiences whilst making the record accessible to people from many walks of life at the same time.
Blaze is currently lining up the release of his mixtape for Spring 2013, and plans to release several singles in the build up along with some fresh works with Nationality. 'Fly Away' is available now via iTunes.
