ASG Enter The Studio
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Relapse Records) North Carolina psychedelic stoner punks ASG have entered the studio to begin recording their highly anticipated Relapse debut and first album in six years. The band's 5th full-length is being recorded with renowned producer Matt Hyde (Slayer, Fu Manchu, Monster Magnet) at the Sunset Lodge in Hollywood, CA.

The band commented on the new record which is planned for an early 2013 release via Relapse Records:

"We are very proud of the new material, we feel that we have tested some new sonic grounds in terms of our sound, and we can't wait for people to hear it!"

Impossible to pigeonhole, ASG has been wheelin' and dealin' in kick-ass rock n' roll since forming in 2001. The band has previously released four albums with including their most recent, critically acclaimed effort Win Us Over in 2007. ASG has gained a reputation for their wildly energetic live shows, and has found themselves on the road with heavy-hitters Motorhead, The Sword, CKY, Fu Manchu, Torche and The Dwarves among others.

ASG are available for interviews upon request, please contact [email protected] to schedule aninterview or stay tuned to Relapse.com, the ASG official website or Facebook page.

"ASG mix the best qualities of Kyuss and Queens of the Stone Age" - Allmusic

"'Win Us Over' ends up being like a trip through '90s alt-metal history with a dose of modern Sabbath-revival stonerism thrown in for good measure" - MetalSucks

"ASG's all about a good time—a really loud good time" - Treble Magazine

"Their songs are bombastic, epically written with the almighty riff the centerpiece to just about all of their songs" - Music Emissions

"The disc is a roller coaster ride through heaven, hell, disappointment, and redemption. Overall, it just fucking rocks." - Space City Rock
