NEW YORK (Midas Records) - Angel gets her wings. A pair of them, to be exact, when Midas Records releases its premiere artist's debut album, Believe in Angels... Believe in Me, Aug. 10, with a special edition CD & live performance DVD package in stores Aug. 24. The title is also the first under the newly-inked distribution deal between the powerhouse indie label Midas and ADA/WEA.

Along with the DVD concert, which was recorded at New York City hotspot Crobar, the enhanced release features six bonus tracks, posters, a photo gallery, links to www.angelfaith.net, as well as links to discount coupons on merchandise.

The first single from Believe in Angels... Believe in Me, "Just the Way I Am," was Top 5 most added at Top 40 radio, soaring beyond priority artists from Warner, Capitol, and Geffen.
The Wizardz of Oz (Nick Lachey, Ricky Martin) -penned-and-produced track has now gained 400 spins on over 60 stations in its third week, and continues to be a momentum-building Top 10 most added.
The album proves its multi-format appeal with a second single, "Love Is," impacting A/C radio Aug. 16. The song was penned and produced by two-time ASCAP Songwriter of the Year Keith Follese.

August will see the launch of another Angel single, "How Can I Lie," to America's dance club and specialty radio communities. The Matrix-produced song has been remixed by legendary DJs' Ralphie Rosario (of Chicago) and Eddie Baez (NYC) and the double vinyl/CD set is poised to become a Summer anthem.

Believe in Angels... Believe in Me also boasts songs written and produced by Grammy-nominated producers The Matrix (Britney Spears, Hillary Duff, Avril Lavigne), and platinum-selling songwriter-producer Johnny Jam (Mandy Moore, Jon Secada). An accomplished songwriter in her own right, Angel co-wrote the title track, along with "Ma Ma's Little Girl," "Chinese Whispers," and "To Forgive You."

In addition to two album versions and two singles, Midas Records is releasing two videos, "Just The Way I Am" and "How Can I Lie," produced and directed by Ethan Lader. The clips will be featured in more than 300 Foot Locker and Champs stores, plus Royal Caribbean Cruises and other retail in-store video systems, as well as television music video channels.

The vocalist and professional dancer's multi-faceted performance schedule includes the Dry Ice Mall Tour, which heats up Aug. 7, at the Mall of America, Minneapolis, and coincides with the initial Believe in Angels... Believe in Me release. She has been appearing at summer camps, NBA Rhythm & Rims events, and WNBA half-time concerts.

An ambitious and high-energy performer, she began her tour in March with The Midas Records Presents: The VH1 Save The Music Tour featuring ANGEL, during which she visited more than 100 schools and approximately 100,000 students. The program resumes in the fall semester, with an emphasis on keeping music classes in the schools, as well as empowering young people to reach their dreams and avoiding drugs, alcohol and tobacco. The humanitarian high-school junior is also offering to lend her vocal support on the 39th annual Jerry Lewis Telethon for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Sept. 6.

With her own product brand, Curfew by Angel, and celebrity endorsements with Daisy Rock Guitars for Girls, Steve Madden Shoes, Candies, Bongo Shoes, Bratz Dolls, Baby Phat, Glamunition, Seventeen, and Cosmo Girl, she is creating a big enough buzz to perform recently at the fashion industry's Michael Awards.

Angel and Candie's / Bongo clothing, shoes, and accessories have hooked up with Carson's Dept. Stores/ Proffitts for the ultimate back-to-school promotion, complete with in-store performances, prizes, and a shopping spree give-away, in September and October.

L.E.I Jeans and Clear Channel also believe in Angel, asking her to participate in the Non Stop Summer Bash, a 13-city high school promotion in which each school will win a back-to-school dance concert hosted by Angel and MTV's DJ Skribble.
The contest, to be featured in Seventeen Magazine, begins in September, and the tour launches in October.
