NEW YORK (Foo Fighters Fans Website) - The Foo Fighters will be going in a new direction on their upcoming album. "I think it's going to be a two-record set. It's going to be 10 acoustic songs and then 10 tracks that are just koo-koo, really heavy," frontman Dave Grohl said. Unlike all previous Foo Fighters releases, the new project will not be recorded in the basement of Grohl's home in Virgina. Instead, the group is working in the former Nirvana drummer's brand new Los Angeles studio. Dave Grohl also serves as the drummer on the new Nine Inch Nails album, "Bleed Through", which is due out in stores this fall. The disc will be the first Nine Inch Nails release in five years. The band's last album 2002's 'One By One' has sold an amazing 1.1 million copies in the United States so far, but it seems the Foos will be even more ambitious with their new record which may be a double album, and will tap into the vast amount of acoustic material that the band has written but never recorded.
