LONDON, UK (Planet Verge) - On August 2, UK record label Visible Noise will release its second Subverse compilation, which showcases the best bands on the live British rock scene. The CD features 21 bands, all of whom have performed at Subverse, the only all ages punk/metal/hardcore/emo event in London. The album will be available at most stores, including HMV and Virgin, at a reduced price.
"Enemy of Mine," by Indifference made the track listing. The song is off the Pontypridd, Wales band's sophomore EP, Born To Be A War Machine. It boasts five tracks that were recorded and engineered by Lostprophet bassist,
Stuart Richardson.
Without label support or management, Indifference have propelled themselves into the media's eye through hard work and networking. 'Some people like playing football, or any other hobby, but for us, there's nothing better than cramming into a van and playing shows, or working on a riff which we're all excited about, or just hanging out in rehearsals together,' shares bassist Tim Williams. 'It's literally the essence of this band and what pushed us to keep working so hard. We've been this way for years.'
The UK National Press named Indifference the No 7 Most Likely to Succeed band in Wales.
They've shared the stage with their hometown friends, the Lostprophets and Funeral For a Friend, as well as Anthrax.
Radio 1 DJ, Bethan Elfyn, calls Indifference 'Wales' up-and-coming nu-punk heroes,' saying 'There's no question that Indifference stand head-and-shoulders above the pack.' In January 2004, the band recorded a live session for Radio 1, which was broadcast across the UK.
Indifference will begin recording tracks for their new EP in August. Don't wait 'till it's done to check them out! Listen to tracks from Born To Be a War Machine at www.purevolume.com/indifferenceuk.
