"Juke Joint-Jiving, Old School Southern Rock" On Sunset Blvd, 8.26
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) "One of the best live acts in the south," Blackberry Smoke head west to LA for a performance of "rollicking" (CMT) Southern rock at The Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant, August 26. These five long-haired road warriors, whose album 'The Whippoorwill' is out August 14 on Zac Brown's Southern Ground Artists, deliver a raucous, swaggering set dripping with guitar riffs and stacked harmonies that "truly do justice to the godfathers of Southern rock."

Pre-order 'The Whippoorwill' - https://blackberrysmoke.spinshop.com/

The Atlanta rockers, playing 200+ shows a year across the U.S. and Europe, have shared the stage with George Jones, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Marshall Tucker to name a few. A listen to 'The Whippoorwill' is "like cracking open a time capsule" or as guitarist Paul Jackson puts it, "touching a nerve that people miss in music today. The revival of good ol' Southern music!"

WHO: Blackberry Smoke (Charlie Starr - vocals, guitar; Richard Turner - bass, vocals; Paul Jackson - guitar, vocals; Brandon Still - piano, organ; Brit Turner - drums, percussion)
WHERE: The Happy Ending Bar & Restaurant, 7038 Sunset Blvd. Hollywood, CA 90028

Blackberry Smoke is performing as part of The Boot Campaign's Ride & Rally, which begins with a morning ride led by the cast of FX's 'Sons of Anarchy' before Blackberry Smoke take the stage. Also in attendance will be cast members from the Discovery Channel show 'Deadliest Catch' including FV Northwestern crew members Edgar Hansen, Jake Anderson, and Matt Bradley.

Proceeds from the Ride & Rally, along with the Boot Campaign's sale of military combat boots, are used to fund veteran's initiatives and programs through the Boot Campaign and a variety of charity partners. For more information go to www.bootride.com.
