NEW YORK (Red Jacket Productions) - Red Jacket, the New York City based alt-rock band, continues their summer residency at the Charleston in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Their second of three shows is on Wednesday July 21st at 10:30 PM. "...Red Jacket have been spreading a unique sound throughout the New York underground. An interesting blend of alternative, guitar rock, and pure punk aggression has led to a very distinct calling card for the band."(The Aquarian)

"Community" is how Red Jacket describes their current residency. The band has had a lead role in selecting other local bands to perform with them. "Organizing this show has presented an opportunity for us to meet other musicians on a more personal level before the show," describes Holly Rock (drums/percussion and backing vocals). Lisa Bianco (lead vocals and guitar) adds, "This enabled us to specifically showcase other independent bands in our community."

The Charleston is located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn (known as a growing artist and musician bohemia). For the past few years the Charleston has developed a reputation for showcasing up-and-coming local acts.

Members of the media can find more information on Red Jacket at their website www.redjacketmusic.com for upcoming shows, biography, photos, and music. Their debut EP titled "Hunted Rebirth" is available for purchase at www.towerrecords.com and www.cdbaby.com/cd/redjacket2. The Village Voice describes the EP as "Eminently hummable, totally rockable."

Show Information: The Charleston is located at 174 Bedford Avenue between North 7th and North 8th Streets in Brooklyn, NY. Take the L Train to the Bedford Avenue stop. The venue telephone number is 212-782-8717. There is no cover charge.
