"Picked Apart On Tape" - Steve Treatment Is Back!!!

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Topplers Records) "Picked Apart On Tape" is a 4 cassette compilation of new recordings by Steve Treatment. Steve Treatment is regarded as one of the founding fathers of the UK DIY punk scene. His first single in 1978 had the amazing Swell Maps as his backing band and his next two 7" singles showed his song writing ability was up there with Marc Bolan and T Rex!

Throughout the 80's and 90's Steve kept a low profile but kept on recording and releasing music on cassettes. There was a huge renewal of interest in his work when Chuck Warner started to release tracks by Steve on his Messthetics albums on Hyped2Death.com. This eventually led to Chuck releasing a double CD of all the available Steve Treatment recordings from 1977 right up to the late nineties.

Around 2002 Topplers Records in Scotland got in touch with Steve with the idea of releasing new material. This led to a relationship with the label that still holds stong today. Steve has sent Topplers Records countless cassettes with demos, ideas and finished tracks and it is from these tapes that this collection is compiled. "Picked Apart On Tape" is released as a four cassette box set (approximately 5 hours of music!) and also as a double CD (2 hours of music!).

These recordings were mainly done by Steve with his acoustic guitar but there are some contributions from his friends. His songs are excellent - he doesn't write B-Sides or fillers, every track is an A-Side!
