LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Mercenary Publicity) Motion City Soundtrack have released a second track from their forthcoming 5th album "Go". The infectious pop tune "Timelines" it's available through The Boombox Generation/Epitaph Records and you can hear it via a Sound Cloud stream here: https://bit.ly/KNPiXC.

Frontman Justin Pierre says "This one went through no less than eight different lyrical and melody choices before I got it right. The chorus was a variation on something the old man used to say. I tried to get universal in theme while remaining specific to things that have happened to me. It's tough to sum up your life in two verses. WARNING: CONTAINS COPIUS AMOUNTS OF PERSONAL SH*T!" Following two sold out shows at London's XOYO earlier this month and a storming set at the Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey, Motion City Soundtrack are back on UK soil this weekend for Slam Dunk Festival dates.

Motion City Soundtrack are - Justin Pierre, Josh Cain, Matt Taylor, Jesse Johnson and Tony Thaxton. Back in 2002 the band released their debut album I Am The Movie. It not only got them on SPIN and Alternative Press' radar, but impressed Epitaph Records so much, they signed the band. Their follow up, Commit This To Memory enlisted Blink 182 member Mark Hoppus on production duties and saw the band rapidly expanding their fanbase and selling more than 300k copies of the album. Even If It Kills Me arrived in 2007 with production by Ric Ocasek, Adam Schlesinger and Eli Janney, and was the first Top 20 charting album of Motion City Soundtrack's career by snagging the #16 spot on the Billboard 200. Their fourth album My Dinosaur Life was also the band's major label debut - released on Columbia Records - and became their top charting album when it debuted at #15 on the Billboard 200. With a number of successful albums, critical praise and a vast fan base, and now returned to their home Epitaph, Motion City Soundtrack continue to push boundaries with their new album due June 10th 2012.
