New York, NY (Top40 Charts / I.M.G.) I.M.G. -- Multifaceted hip-hop recording artist Shalone premieres new music video for "People", the lead single off mixtape See Me Coming released December of 2011. Directed by Court Dunn and featuring Emilio Rojas, the feel good melodic track brings a refreshing sound to hip-hop. MTV Networks also recently added "It's Just Music" by Queens rapper Grafh into rotation on MTV Jams on which Shalone is featured alongside Slaughterhouse's Joe Budden.

However, getting to MTV was not an easy road. Growing up in one of the most notorious parts of Jamaica, Shalone migrated to the U.S. at the age of 12 and has never lost sight of his vision since. In 2001, he landed on the chorus of "Truth About Me" off Petey Pablo's debut album The Diary of A Sinner 1st Entry.

He went on to do features with rappers Noreaga, Grafh, Bun B, Busta Rhymes, Joell Ortiz, and Mussolini (Syke) from the Outlaws. In late 2008, Shalone released his first single "Ain't Like We," which received over 600 radio spins across the U.S. and had the opportunity to open for T.I., Young Jeezy and Ludacris. In 2011 he released another radio banger, "Liar", featuring Universal Music songstress Shontelle.

"I'm bringing the freedom of music, bringing that spirit back. That's what makes me different. Most rappers are too insecure to take a risk. I've been everywhere and I'll always have that reflected in my music," Shalone says.

Having put himself in a position to make an impact on music this year and beyond, Shalone is back with a new EP entitled "Selfish." True to the name, the project will have 7 songs, no features and take listeners from the streets to the club and everywhere in between, truly showcasing Shalone's artistic range. Look out for "Selfish" due out this summer.
