New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) Killswitch Engage frontman Jesse Leach was interviewed this week by the Boston Herald, prior to his first live gig with the band since returning to the lineup, at this weekend's New England Metal & Hardcore Festival.
"The vibe is just amazing," says Leach. "We're all breathing a sigh of relief to be back together. The energy is there like it's never been before."
"At the time, no one can understand why ... but time has a way of healing wounds," he says about leaving the band following 2002's Alive Or Just Breathing, and coming back a decade later, following the departure of Howard Jones. That's kind of what's happened with us. ... And we're all different people than we were 10 years ago."
Killswitch Engage are currently in the studio, recording the follow-up to 2009's self-titled album.
