Music Awards on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at New York City's elegant Skylight SoHo.
The SESAC Pop Awards will honor the most popular songs of 2011 with special awards being presented to the Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year and Publisher of the Year.
The invitation-only, red carpet gala event has established itself as one of the most popular music gatherings in the business. Each year the star studded evening features special performances from some of entertainment's top hit-makers with attendees including some of the biggest names in music. Previously, SESAC has presented awards to the likes of Bob Dylan, MGMT, Neil Diamond, Lady Antebellum, Alice In Chains, Mumford & Sons, Chrisette Michele, Bryan-Michael Cox, Kasseem "Swizz Beatz" Dean, and Nate "Danja" Hills among many others.
In years past, the SESAC Pop Awards has honored such luminaries as songwriter/producer/ artist Swizz Beatz, songwriter Nate "Danja" Hills, songwriting icon Neil Diamond, "Late Show With
David Letterman" musical director Paul Shaffer, songstress
Chrisette Michele and

In 2011, SESAC celebrated the 100th birthday of music pioneer and undisputed King of the Delta Blues, Robert Johnson with a special tribute.
