Toronto, ON (Top40 Charts/ Bridle Bash Foundation) It's just a few months until summer, and that means the Bridle Bash Foundation is getting ready for another Bridle Bash - an open air, love-filled, dance-until-you-fall-into-the-swimming-pool kind of fundraising party that will gather together more than 1,000 of Toronto's best people, all passionate about helping others.

So here's the challenge: Bridle Bash parties have always featured top-notch talent, with previous parties featuring amazing entertainers such as Burton Cummings, former Supremes singer Mary Wilson, and legendary Motown blues band the Funk Brothers. This year, the foundation is looking for a high-calibre musical act to headline Bridle Bash V, taking place on July 28. In exchange for this one-night engagement, the Bridle Bash Foundation will donate $150,000 to the musician or band's favourite charity.

Hosted on the vast grounds of a private home on Toronto's exclusive Bridle Path, the Bridle Bash stands apart from other fundraisers. Guests arrive in shorts and jeans, and many get into their bathing suits to watch the band from the pool. But the best thing about the Bridle Bash is the money it raises for great causes. The last party generated more than $500,000 - money the foundation gives to programs such as:

Bloorview Kids Foundation at Bloorview Research Institute, Canada's largest rehabilitation and research hospital focusing on childhood disabilities. The foundation supports a research project on brain scanning technology that could allow kids with locked-in syndrome to communicate.

Reena, a non-profit agency that helps teens and adults with developmental disabilities integrate into mainstream society. Bridle Bash funds supported an after school program for the entire 2010/11 school year.

Save A Child's Heart Foundation, a world-leading provider of life-saving cardiac surgery for children from developing countries such as Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia. The foundation is helping SACH build a new house in Israel where the children can stay prior to surgery, and has donated towards the purchase of pediatric pacemaker equipment.

Giant Steps, a school for children with autism. A $100,000 donation established the Bridle Bash Foundation Resource Centre, a new library at Giant Steps that includes work areas, a listening centre, touch screen computers, books, and computerized communication devices for non-verbal children. The library is scheduled for opening in May 2012.

Just one night can make such a big difference in so many people's lives. The Bridle Bash Foundation challenges top musicians to step up to the Bridle Bash Rock Music Challenge. Come to the Bridle Bash on July 28 - the foundation will cover travel and accommodation expenses, of course - and perform at Toronto's party of the year. In lieu of the band's usual fee, the foundation will donate a cheque for $150,000, made out to the charity (or charities) the band is most passionate about.
