Music recording artist Lega-C, who burst onto the independent music scene in 2011 with her breakout single and Youtube video "White Girl Raps Fast" and remixes of "
She Will" and "Worldwide Choppers" from her mixtape Who Got Tha Heater, has been invited to participate in the "Best New Rap Star" competition being held in Los Angeles on August 4 as part of the Indie Entertainment Summit (IES).
The "Best New Rap Star" competition will be part of a heavy touring season this spring/summer for the buzzing Tulsa, Oklahoma native who is promoting her major indie label debut, Off My Medication, which is scheduled to be released Halloween 2012.
IES, which runs on August 1-5, 2012, is a new annual music and entertainment conference and festival in Southern California. The five-day event will focus on cutting edge knowledge, networking and performances in the areas of music, movies, television, and modeling. Attendees will include reps from Def Jam, Aftermath, Interscope, Shady, Strange Music, New No Limit, Activate, Universal, Warner, Suburban Noize and many more. In addition to leading over 80 in-depth workshops and seminars, top industry execs will choose one promising Hip-Hop artist in the "Best New Rap Star" competition to receive a $100,000.00 grand prize package, which includes a worldwide distribution deal, marketing & promotion campaign, two professional music videos, an XXL Magazine spread, major press coverage, and a promo tour.
