ATLANTA, GA (Paradigma Entertaiment press) - While FOX is known for its presentation of the successful American Idol television show, Atlanta and Los Angeles based Production Company, Paradigma Entertainment, has secured the rights to produce a major offspring of the show for the steady-rising and increasingly popular gospel music market. Legendary entertainment executive and record producer Stephen Metz and entertainment executive Reg Thomas will be spearheading the production efforts. National tryouts for the new show, "America's Inspirational Star", will begin this summer with a potential fall airdate of the program.

The show will focus on the contemporary gospel genre in Idol like proportions. Inspirational Star's Executive Producer Stephen Metz says, "If you look at the trend of music over the past few years, sales have consistently dropped in almost every music genre with the exception of gospel music.
Since 9/11, the public has opened up to hearing more songs about faith, hope, and inspiration. We all know most of our biggest singing superstars started out singing in the church. Our show will help discover the next generation of gospel superstars who are looking for a way to get a recording contract".

America's Inspirational Star will have major gospel artists and recording executives attached to it like its predecessor. The airing of the show will be on one of the major television networks. The producers anticipate on kicking off a media blitz in the next few weeks to announce the cities for the tryouts. Cities will include, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and other major markets.
Stephen Metz is best known for being the first producer to bring diversity to Broadway with Latin and R&B shows. The historical New York landmark, The Beacon Theater, which Metz created, served as the venue of choice for the shows including the stage production of "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". Reg Thomas has made his mark in the urban music world as a consultant of choice for major and independent record labels touted as "The Bridge" for a vast array of colorful contacts in and outside of the entertainment world.
