LOS ANGELES (SqueakyCat Music) - LA-based independent artist Debbie Hennessey is nominated in the "AC40 Female Artist" category by industry trade publication New Music Weekly (NMW). The other nominees are: Sarah McLachlan (Arista), Clear (Raw Naked), Sheryl Crow (A&M/Interscope), Holly (Holly & Lilacs) and Ellee Ven (Hot Sauce). The NMW awards ceremony, which will honor both winners and nominees, is scheduled for Saturday, June 26th, 2004 at the Key Club Theatre in Hollywood, California. Hennessey, whose music has had success on the Adult Contemporary (AC) charts, released Rustic Heart on her own label, SqueakyCatMusic. The single from Rustic Heart, "Midnight To Cinderella," was worked to Radio & Records' CHR and Hot AC reporting stations in early 2004. The song went Top 20 on New Music Weekly's AC40 Chart and Top 100 on the Friday Morning Quarterback's (FMQB) Top 200 in 2003. Several songs from the CD also received airplay in Europe, New Zealand and Australia. Her debut CD Rustic Heart was included on the 46th Annual Grammy Awards Nominating Ballot last November an amazing six (6) times, four (4) of those for her vocal performances in the Country Music category. Hennessey signed an agreement earlier this year with MRM Placement to represent her music to film and TV. She continues to perform with her band around Southern California and will be in attendance at the NMW Awards.
