Maino Joins Forces With Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds In NYC

New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Shore Fire Media) Sister Sparrow & The Dirty Birds, Brooklyn's "fiery brass- and gospel-infused funk" (LA Times) outfit, has teamed with hip-hop veteran Maino for a stunning new music video for the band's "Make It Rain," and will be joined by the rapper at NYC's Bowery Ballroom this Thursday as they celebrate the release of 'Pound of Dirt' (Modern Vintage Recordings).

Maino, a collaborator with artists such as T.I., Swizz Beats, Jadakiss, and Fabolous, adds extra fire to the "Make It Rain" video, which incorporates awe-inspiring animation, gorgeous rooftop views of New York City, and footage of Sister Sparrow's high-octane live shows.

The buzz for Sister Sparrow, led by "tremendous, sultry" (A.V. Club) singer Arleigh Kincheloe, continues to mount as the band heads to festivals including SXSW and Mountain Jam in the months ahead. This past weekend, the nine-piece act joined Warren Haynes and Steely Dan's Donald Fagen onstage at Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble for an encore performance of "The Weight."
