Golden Gods Nominations Announced
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) The fourth annual Revolver Golden Gods awards show will be held on Wednesday, April 11 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles, CA, and broadcast live in its entirety on Xbox Live. Tickets, for those who wish to attend in person, went on sale yesterday via Ticketmaster.

The show will be hosted by professional wrestler Chris Jericho, and Roadrunner bands were extremely heavily represented in the list of nominees. Check it out:

In the Best Guitarist category, Machine Head's Robb Flynn and Phil Demmel, Megadeth's Dave Mustaine and Chris Broderick, and Trivium's Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu were all nominated; Korn's Jonathan Davis is up for Best Vocalist; Korn's The Path of Totality is up for Album of the Year (no surprise, since Revolver magazine already gave it that title last year); Dream Theater and Slipknot are both nominated for Comeback of the Year; Korn's Munky is up for the title of Riff Lord; and Korn's Fieldy and Megadeth's David Ellefson are both nominated for Best Bassist, a trophy that's named in tribute to the late Slipknot bassist Paul Gray.
