$100,000 offered for newlyweds J.Lo & Marc Anthony if they can stay married for 18 months!

SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (MyBookie Website) - Can they do it? Can newlyweds Jennifer Lopez (J.Lo) and Marc Anthony stay married for 18 months? Online gaming service MyBookie has issued a $100,000 challenge to the couple if they can stay married until December 31, 2005. If J.Lo and Marc Anthony accept the challenge, MyBookie will donate $100,000 to a charity of the couple's choosing.
"How hard can that be?" muses MyBookie's sportsbook director Jimmy Mason.

Actress/singer J.Lo and Salsa singer Anthony tied the knot June 7 in what was described as a "low-key intimate affair," five days after Anthony's divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres, his wife of four years. The marriage is J.Lo's third.
"We wish them only the best - we're big fans of hers!" Mason notes. "But given J.Lo's turbulent history in the relationship department, and the massive response from players betting that they won't even make it one year, we decided to offer the challenge."

According to Mason, all J.Lo and Anthony have to do is have their people contact MyBookie with their acceptance and name the charity they prefer.
MyBookie will immediately have the funds put in escrow. "I sincerely hope they prove us wrong, because I'm sure the money will go to a great cause," Mason says, adding, "Hey, Julia Roberts was the poster-girl for rocky relationships, and she's been happily married to Danny Moder for well over 18 months, and even making babies!"
Offering best wishes to the newlyweds, Mason comments, "We will be proud to cut the check - we believe love rules!"
The $100,000 challenge is not the only off-the-wall fun wagering option offered by MyBookie, a seven-year-old offshore sportsbook based in Costa Rica.
Other options include wagers on whether Osama Bin Laden will be captured or killed before the U.S. presidential elections in November, and who will be cast as the next James Bond 007.
