MIAMI, FL. (Sony Norte)- Marc Anthony has debuted in the number one spot in sales in Billboard Magazine's "Latin Chart" with the international singer's most recent album "Amar Sin Mentiras" ("To Love Without Lies"), which was released Tuesday, June 8. Selling more than 35,000 copies in just a week, the New York-born Puerto Rican singer is not only in first place in sales but for staying number one on pop radio charts with his hit "Ahora Quien" ("Now Who?").

The overwhelming response to Anthony's first pop album in Spanish comes ahead of the album's first live performance, which will take place Friday, June 18 at Barton G in Miami Beach.

Only 1,500 people will have a chance to attend the private performance sponsored by HBC (Univision) radio, which held a contest to select each one of the invitees.
"It pleases me to know that my people have accepted this first pop production in Spanish with the same enthusiasm and dedication with which I prepared it. I have always known that I am indebted to my people and that is why I take a lot of time creating my musical works, working out every detail, to fulfill my commitment to musical quality," commented the interpreter of "Celos" ("Fervor").

"Amar sin Mentiras" was released simultaneously on the Internet Portals "iTunes", "Napster" and "Music Metal" so that it could be legally accessed on the Internet.
Including a duet with Jennifer Lopez "Escapemonos" ("Let's Run Away"), the disc is the most sought after in stores throughout the United States.

Marc Anthony is currently in the recording studio applying the finishing touches to what will be the salsa version of this successful recording due to hit the market sometime in the fall... wait for it!
