Electronic Punk Rock Band Board Of Whores Cranks It Up With Their Sophomore Album
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Board Of Whores Official Website) Edgy. Creative. Unconventional. Groundbreaking.
Such are the words you can describe the band Board Of Whores' electronic punk rock sound. The Atlanta-based rockers were formed in 2010 by producer-musician Willis Corley. His intention was to record a four-track with a 12-string acoustic. Why? In an attempt to break the common stale environments dictating artist creation. Yes, Board Of Whores think out of the box, musically. Just what we need from an electronic punk rock outfit.

Later that year Willis met Eddie Edwards who eventually became Board Of Whore's front man. They recorded their first-ever collaboration titled 'Mesopotamia EP', produced at East Atlanta Recording Studios. With this project, Board Of Whores dug four generations deep in influences: old-school 70's rockers Iggy Pop, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and T-Rex, which were then infused with the new wave gothic styling of Joy Division, Sisters of Mercy, and Love and Rockets, plus a dusting of Ziggy Stardust. Hence, an electro equation that is a dark dance under lush guitar and harmonic vocal lines - a truly unique sonic element.

In March 2011, Board Of Whores were invited to perform at one of indie music's holy congregations, SXSW 2011 Music Conference. To date, Board Of Whores are working non-stop, creating new music and doing live performances across the country. They have actually finished their second release titled - what else - 'Board Of Whores'. And true to their electronic punk rock core, 'Board Of Whores will be a collage of post-modern culture composed on a bar nap'.

Expect the unexpected from Board Of Whores. Download their self-titled sophomore album at iTunes, distributed by JMD Records and INgrooves, a partner of Universal Music Group.
