Enigmatic L.A. Rapper 'Sitting Dove' Courts Controversy With 'ReMix' Releases
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Musical Artist Sitting Dove) Enigmatic L.A. rapper Sitting Dove (https://www.jango.com/music/Sitting+Dove) has taken things to the next level. On his debut Blossom (ReMix) LP, Sitting Dove takes a decidedly avant-garde approach that defies current hip-hop and pop norms. Bravely putting forth provocative messages that speak to some of the dire issues facing people around the world today, Sitting Dove ventures into subject matter that many others shy away from. Sitting Dove's musical styles reflect the aesthetics of Dead Prez, Andre Nickatina, and Snoop Dogg while his lyrics traverse the philosophical spheres of musician/poets like Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, and Tupac Shakur.

What sets Sitting Dove apart is his unique vocal approach and abilities as a musical contortionist. He combines eclectic instrumentations with stimulative lyrics to create what he calls "another kind of hip-hop." The Blossom (ReMix) LP features thought-provoking tracks like the other-worldy story-rap "Him," the melancholic boom-bat "Locomotion," and the neo-Orwellian PSA "Blossom." Additionally, Sitting Dove displays dexterity and restraint as producer. While transforming his entire "first wave" of music, Sitting Dove re-recorded or completely remixed all songs with increased attack while further emphasizing his understated, everyman swagger and smooth, signature rasp. The result is an auditory journey that takes the listener much deeper into the haunted worlds of Sitting Dove.

Sitting Dove has also released two remixed versions of "Big Daddy" -- his highly controversial song about our nation's Federal Reserve Banking System. His meshing of modern electronica with thoughtful, no-holds-barred lyrics in "Big Daddy (ReMix)" demonstrates a nuanced flair for rhythmic storytelling that is rare in the music industry today.

There is a lot to be heard in Sitting Dove's "first wave" of music, as it is a testament of sorts. It carries the artist's many losing battles in life as well as the passionate, one-minded determination that was required to complete this "first wave."
