Dirtee Stank Recordings Sign Landmark Deal With Universal Music

LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Purple PR) This week, independent label Dirtee Stank, famously home to the biggest UK male artist today, Dizzee Rascal, have signed a multi-layered deal with the Universal group to market and distribute their music.

Dirtee Stank was founded in 2000 by Dizzee and his manager and producer Nick Cage.

It was responsible for his seminal work Boy In Da Corner and three subsequent hit albums including the self-released platinum Tongue and Cheek which spawned 5 number one singles in the UK.

With the first releases to come through the Island imprint, which will include Dizzee's fifth studio album, Island are really excited at the prospect of forging a successful partnership with Dizzee/Dirtee Stank and aim to raise the bar even further creatively to help break this UK superstar across the four corners of the globe and beyond.

Island will also be home to new Dirtee Stank signing and Dizzee protege Katie Pepper. Dizzee discovered Katie's phenomenal talent on the Sky TV show Must Be The Music and signed her on the spot. She has been touring Europe with him on the festival circuit this year and will be supporting Rizzle Kicks in the new year.
