With IndieRock To Eurovision Song Contest!

HELSINKI, FINLAND (Top40 Charts/ Spyro Official Website) The concept of selecting Eurovision representative changed drastically this year in Finland. Contest for New Music (Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu) was open to all songwriters and artists regardless of musical genre.
After the assessment, based on jury selections, auditions and club gigs, the best entries will proceed to the impressive grand final, which will be held in Helsinki in February and the winner will perform in front of an audience of 100 million people at the Eurovision Song Contest in Azerbaijan in May

Out of 540 demos sent to the contest, The Spyro's entry 'Teleport My Heart' was chosen to the TOP40.
The Spyro are a Finnish indie rock band , sucking influence from such bands as Franz Ferdinand, Block Party, Arctic Monkeys, Interpol, The Strokes, Foals and The Hives.
Having said that, the band members do have quite various musical backgrounds, from hip-hop through HC techno and death metal to psychedelic rock and everything in between.
