Journey To Receive Billboard's 'Legend Of Live' Award

NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) ‎ According to Billboard magazine, Journey is going to receive the "Legend of Live" award at the 2011 Billboard Touring Awards. The awards show will take place on November 10th at the Roosevelt Hotel in New York.
This ceremony is part of the Billboard Touring Conference on November 9 and 10.

Journey's Neal Schon said of the exciting news, "I'm so honored to come to New York to represent the band for all the years and dedication that everyone's given."

The award has previously been won by Sir Elton John, Rush and Ozzy Osbourne, and Billboard's Ray Waddell explained that Journey are very deserving recipients:

"Though they have sold millions of records and charted a wealth of the most beloved Billboard hits in history, most would agree that Journey's longevity has in large part been driven by their stellar live performances."

The "Legend of Live" award honors groups or individual singers that have made significant contributions to live music and the touring business.
