New York, NY (Top40 Charts) It was revealed in Rolling Stone
magazine this week that Radiohead, the name behind famous alternative rock tune
Creep, were heading back to the studio to record a new album. The band shot to fame
in the early 90s with their debut album
Pablo Honey and have produced several
hit tunes in the interim. The band released an album earlier this year and the
new DVD of their
videos should hopefully be released soon.
The band will also tour next year,
showcasing their latest work including their new electro album, The King of
Limbs. Lead singer Thom
Yorke revealed to Rolling
Stone magazine that the band are set to head to their Oxford studio this
December and in January to work on their music, which should hopefully produce
some stellar tracks.
In the same interview
Yorke
announced the title of one of the new tracks,
Come To Your Senses,
which he says has already been partially worked out. In the interview
Yorke said: "We have this version of it. It's a five-minute
rehearsal, but it has the essence of what we need.
"It would be fun to have them ready when we go to play next year. I don't know
how we would release them.
"It would be nice to make it all part of
the flow and just enjoy it - not think about it too much."
The band has been named one of the most
influential sounds of the late nineties and many
new
music DVDs will have been influenced by their crooning vocals. Although the
band has moved into a new genre they still have a cult following and next year
will be an amazing time for these fans. After leaving their record label in
2003 the band kept a low profile and did few gigs, especially when compared to
the new shining lights of the industry.
