Shad Willyums Releases 'Hometown Hero' Mixtape
Miami, FL. (Top40 Charts/ Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Promotions) Hip hop artist Shad Willyums recently released his mixtape "Hometown Hero." Presented by Coast 2 Coast Mixtape Promotions, the project is available at https://www.coast2coastmixtapes.com for free download. "Hometown Hero" features Shad Willyums on tracks with Static, Cory, Fresh, Diligent, and Que Rich.

Shad Willyums attended Wexford Collegiate Institute in Ontario, Canada, where he started writing poetry in the 10th grade. People began to identify his poetry as "rap," and he decided to go with it, forming a group with other like-minded artists at school called the Basement Boys, who would freestyle daily after school. Joining the poetry club gave Willyums a taste of performing his own material in front of an audience, and soon the club transformed into the Poets & Songwriters group, which allowed him the opportunity to further hone his craft. After high school, Willyums began to work on his solo mixtape in order to perfect his own sound and tell his own story, looking to artists like Drake, Nipsey Hussle, Macklemore, Common, Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, and 2Pac for inspiration. The name "Hometown Hero" comes from all the times when Willyums wasn't necessarily sure of himself, but had people telling him that he had talent and believing in him. As he works, he finds more people who are starting to notice and respect his movement and motivation as an artist.

Shad Willyums aspires to grow as a person and an artist, and to make music that people can enjoy, relate to, and feel inspired by. His overall goal is to create good music and show that this truly is his place to shine.
"Hometown Hero" is available for free streaming and download at https://coast2coastmixtapes.com/mixtapes/mixtapedetail.aspx/shad-willyums-hometown-hero
