Celebrity Drummers To Judge Sam Ash Music's Best In Drums Finals!

New York, NY (Top40 Charts / Sam Ash Music) Sam Ash Music's "Best In Drums" national competition to discover the country's best unknown rock drummer roars into Las Vegas on September 21st. The winner will receive thousands of dollars worth of music gear from contest sponsors Tama, Sabian, ProMark, Remo and Zoom.

A celebrity panel of drummers is set to evaluate the performances of the 6 finalists. The legendary Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Adrenaline Mob, Avenged Sevenfold) is joined by Good Charlotte drummer and recording star Dean Butterworth and powerhouse drummer Vinny Appice (Dio, Black Sabbath, Heaven and Hell).

The Finals are September 21st at 7:30 pm on the soundstage at Sam Ash's superstore in Las Vegas. Attendance is free, and audience members will receive free gifts and chances to win valuable raffle prizes during the show.

Sam Ash Music, America's premier full-line music store chain, launched the contest in August to find America's best unsigned rock drummer. Over 800 hundred drummers entered. Now the contest is down to the final six! The drummers perform live on stage to their choice of an instrumental backing track from Mike Portnoy. The judges will score the players on their technical skills, originality, accuracy, and showmanship to determine the winner.
