NEW YORK (Bad Boy Records/Universal press relewase) - The legendary rap group, 8 Ball and MJG continue the Bad Boy chart-topping tradition this week by having the No1 Rap Album, No2 R&B/Hip Hop Album and No3 Pop Album on the Billboard Charts.

This is the biggest debut for the duo, which sold over 120,000 units in their first week. Living Legends, their first album since signing a deal with Bad Boy Records, is a hypnotic collection of the Southern funk the pair originated, blended with Bad Boy's club-friendly touch. The duo's success marks Bad Boy's seventh Top Ten debut since inking a deal with Universal Records last year.

8 Ball and MJG are the first rap act from Memphis to achieve platinum status and the first southern rappers to attain nationwide success. The legendary duo have not only earned accolades from the charts, but the coveted stamp of approval from their fellow peers and fans.

Bad Boy CEO "Sean P. Diddy" Combs agrees. "I've been fans of theirs since day one," he said, "and my respect for them only grew." In a recent NY Times article, Danger Mouse famous for creating The Grey Album, sided 8 Ball and MJG amongst his list of favorite artists.

Anticipation for Living Legends, the group's ninth album, began with the lead single "You Don't Want Drama." The bass-driven club anthem came in as the No 2 most added song at urban mainstream radio. Some of the hottest names in the industry join 8 Ball and MJG on Living Legends, including Lil' Jon, Ludacris, Big Boi, Sleepy Brown and 112, and includes production by Bad Boy's resident hit makers Deric "D-Dot" Angelettie and Stevie J.

In addition to having the No 3 Pop Album, Bad Boy also has the No 9 Pop Album with Mario Winans, Hurt No More CD. 8Ball and MJG are wrapping up their promotional tour in support of Living Legends this weekend in Cancun, Mexico.
