New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ RoadRunner Records) Revolver magazine has put together a special issue devoted to the "Big Four" thrash bands (Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer), and as part of their coverage, they're asking the various members of each band to pick their favorite tracks by other Big Four bands. So naturally, they asked Slayer guitarist Kerry King to list his favorite Megadeth songs - since he was briefly a member of the group in its earliest days.
Here's what he said:
"Obviously, I love 'Rattlehead,' 'cause I played it. But that first record [1985's Killing Is My Business and Business Is Good, featuring Rattlehead'] is full of gems. I remember playing some of the riffs with those guys. We were playing songs from that and from their next record, Peace Sells but Who's Buying? when I played with them. 'The Skull Beneath the Skin' [off Killing] is awesome, 'The Conjuring' [off Peace Sells] is awesome. All kinds of great shit."
