Kevin Fowler has signed to Average Joe's Entertainment - and now he REALLY has a chip on his shoulder. Well, sort of. -Melissa Coker
Average Joe's Entertainment has set August 9, 2011 as the release date of his sixth studio album, Chippin' Away. Four special pre-sale packages will be offered on https://www.KevinFowler.com beginning today.
Eleven cuts of pure Kevin Fowler - eight of which he had a hand in writing - Chippin' Away shows the progression of an artist completely in tune with his audience."It's country with a bad attitude," Kevin admits. "It's country with an edge. It's just beer-drinkin', hell-raisin', good-time music."
Tempo rules Chippin' Away, but Kevin slows things down on the breakup song "I Could Do That With You Gone." A father of three girls, Kevin wrote "Daddies and Daughters" with Trent Willmon and Brandon Kinney, who also both have daughters. A prolific songwriter who has had songs cut by the likes of Montgomery Gentry, Mark Chesnutt, George Jones and others, he also partnered with Rhett Akins, Dallas Davidson, Ira Dean, Ben Hayslip, Clint Ingersoll, Shane Minor, David Lee Murphy, Liz Rose and Kim Tribble to write songs for Chippin' Away.
The rough and raucous "Hell Yeah, I Like Beer" is currently perched in the Top 5 on the Texas Music Chart, and the follow up single, "That Girl," will be released to country radio across the nation in August.

Package No 2 adds a digital download to the autographed cd for $14.99, and a t-shirt is added to the third package for $39.99. The fourth package is $59.99 and includes everything in the first three plus a vintage road sign. Sales tax, shipping and handling are added to each package, which will be shipped to arrive on or about August 9, 2011.
