Based on real events, Killing Bono tells the story of young Irish rocker McCormick and his younger brother, Ivan, who attempt to become rock stars but can only look on as their school friends form U2 and become the biggest band in the world. The film stars Ben Barnes (Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia) as Neil McCormick, Robert Sheehan (Misfits, Cherrybomb) as Ivan McCormick, and Martin McCann (Closing the Ring, HBO's "The Pacific") as Bono. It also features the final film performance of the late Academy Award-nominated actor Pete Postlethwaite (Inception, The Town).
Killing Bono was directed by Nick Hamm from a screenplay by Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais (The Commitments). The film will be released in theaters and on VOD this Fall by ARC Entertainment and XLrator Media. The movie's soundtrack is available from Sony Music.
