New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Earshot Media) The members of Miami's Jacobs Ladder met through their high school music program, so the drastic budget cuts affecting arts programs nationwide hit home especially hard for the progressive rock trio-
The band recently took matters into their own hands by launching a Pledge Music campaign to help raise money and awareness for the charity MusicUnites, which benefits music education programs in inner city schools-
Anyone who heads over to www.pledgemusic.com/projects/jacobsladder and makes a mininum pledge to help, will gain access to an mp3 download featuring exclusive tracks that do not appear on the band's recently released "Back To Life" EP-
Other unique bundles are available, which include such things as a personal phone call from the band, a guitar lesson, a signed drumhead, the chance to name bassist Sammy Gonzales' signature afro and more!
In a joint statement, the band explained why they're so passionate about this cause: "Throughout our childhoods we were fortunate enough to receive music education through the public school system. Music has been a driving force in our lives and we couldn't imagine the people we'd be today with out it. Programs like MusicUnites mean the world to us."
Please help Jacobs Ladder in their mission by pledging, and posting the following link on your site:

Music Unites is a 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to bringing music education to underprivileged children in underfunded inner city school systems. Their goal is to connect people through the universality of music by providing communities with opportunities for a rich musical experience. This is achieved through education programs and by offering established and emerging musicians performance opportunities in a variety of venues and locations, including schools, where they act as mentors to the students. They also nourish the next generation of performers by providing audiences and performance opportunities, while at the same time enriching the listening experience of the public, allowing them to experience new forms and genres through exposure to an increasingly diverse world of music.
