Amy Winehouse Cancels Part Of European 2011 Tour
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) Amy Winehouse began her European Tour to boos from the Belgrade crowd, after she played a 90-minute set which involved a little singing, lots of mumbling and some throwing of her microphone on the floor.

After the Belgrade debacle, it was announced that the UK singing star is to cancel concerts in Istanbul and in Athens on Wednesday, but no decision has yet been taken on the rest of the 12-date European Tour.
While the Serbian audience were unhappy with the outcome of the concert, it should come as little surprise to anyone who has followed her battles with alcohol.

Winehouse's spokesman said in a statement:
"Amy has cancelled appearances in Istanbul and Athens for the coming week. Winehouse would like to say sorry to fans expecting to see her in Turkey and Greece, but feels that this is the right thing to do.
Despite feeling sure that she wanted to fulfill these commitments, she has agreed with management that she cannot perform to the best of her ability and will return home."

The next scheduled concert date after Athens is July 8 in Bilbao, Spain.
The tour was to end in Bucharest, Romania, on Aug. 15.
