New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Popkomm Showcase) Popkomm, the internationally established meeting place of the music and entertainment industry, will be taking place from 7 to 9
September on the grounds of the former main airport in Berlin Tempelhof. Over these three days, events at the Popkomm Conference will include panel discussions, workshops and keynotes, which will be attended by leading members of the music industry. Popkomm Media_Gate, the innovative event format of Popkomm, is where representatives of forward-looking digital music services will meet, and will be the place for discussions, presentations and introducing new music entertainment services.
Media_Gate will present the future of digital music consumption and the corresponding links between technology, digital content and the consumer. Particularly in an age of technological growth and global digital networking, operating innovative business strategies and possessing up-to-date knowledge of the market as well as an overview of the market options and potential are fundamental to achieving sales success. Popkomm Media_Gate will provide a forum for an exchange of knowledge and views among all those taking part.

As "mobile" concepts are becoming an increasingly important part of marketing and selling products, the
Mobile Business Panel Discussion will debate the various directions, scenarios and options. How do mobile concepts work as a medium? What are the available technologies, and how can they merge with traditional and new marketing strategies? These will all be key items on the discussion panel's agenda. At the
Mobile Business Panel Discussion, Robert Andra, head of
Music Download & Games Vodafone, will talk about the current situation of the telecoms industry and its future prospects. Frank Wagner and Andrew Mairon, founders of Jamii, will demonstrate a best practice model in order to highlight the potential of marketing mobile voice technology. Tina Rodriguez of Digitale Medien Beratung will talk about new ways to market mobile technology.
Cloud business is the topic on everyone's lips, and although widely practised, it has only recently become the subject of media hype. "Our aim at the Cloud Business Panel Discussion is to examine cloud business models and to take a look at future prospects", says Manuel Gerres, head of Business Development at Seedlab.
