Hunington Beach, CA (Top40 Charts/ KTVA) The rise in popularity of such shows as American Idol have given many singers the hope that they can be the next famous artist to grace the airwaves. These shows have also taught the viewing public one important fact though-not everyone has what it takes to make the final (or first) cut. Ken Tamplin of the Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy (KTVA) believes that anyone can learn to be a singer with the proper instruction, and he has provided an easy solution for those who might not have a trained vocal coach in their vicinity or price range.
Tamplin's updated online singing lessons are an expansion on the original KTVA Stages. In addition to the three stages of vocal instruction that are available via download or physical DVD, the new version provides bonus material that instructs users on growing their voice. Designed to answer questions from all experience levels, the course is intended to make learning about the voice easier and more comprehensible.
"My method blends Bel Canto, which is a modified operatic style for rock and pop, with the Ron Anderson method, who is the vocal coach on American Idol," said Tamplin. "I give physical demonstrations on how to sing and I combine the best methods with my actual live touring and recording experience."
The updated singing lessons include tips and tricks on learning guitar chords, writing songs and secrets to live singing. With this update, Tamplin has included a list of professional film, television, touring and recording contacts to provide expertise on what it takes to sing for a living.
"Everyone can learn how to sing," said Tamplin. "With the proper instruction that is available through my updated three stage program, people can feel more confident in their singing technique and tone."
