Arctic Monkeys Cut Lacquer And Film The Session At Bernie Grundman Mastering
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Bernie Grundman Mastering) As an added hi-fidelity bonus for fans, the Arctic Monkeys mastered the single "Brick By Brick" at Bernie Grundman Mastering for vinyl release on National Record Store Day, April 16. The first single from the band's fourth studio album, "Don't Sit Down 'Cause I've Moved Your Chair," was released on April 11 as a digital download. The entire album, "Suck It and See," has a June 7 worldwide release date.

The entire band joined mastering engineer Bernie Grundman for the lacquer cutting session, which was also filmed for video release coinciding with the vinyl release. Key shots of the disc-cutting process are featured in the music video, available on YouTube at:

Arctic Monkeys was formed in 2002 in High Green, a suburb of Sheffield, England. The band consists of Alex Turner (lead vocals, lead guitar), Jamie Cook (rhythm guitar, backing vocals), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Matt Helders (drums, percussion, backing vocals).

Arctic Monkeys has released four studio albums, "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" (2006), "Favourite Worst Nightmare "(2007), "Humbug" (2009) and "Suck It and See" (2011), as well as one live album "At the Apollo" (2007). Their debut album became the fastest-selling debut album in British music history, surpassing Oasis' Definitely Maybe and remains the fastest-selling debut album for a band in the UK.

"Suck It and See" features 12 new Arctic Monkeys' songs and was produced by James Ford at the legendary Sound City Studios in Los Angeles. The album was engineered by James Brown and mixed by Craig Silvey.
