About Lerix
Lerix is a Brooklyn based emcee whose recording style is progressive and reminiscent of the "Golden Era." His infatuation with hip hop started at the age of 14 through his older cousin Hank Love, who was the co-host of 105.9's "Hank love and Half-Pint show." Soon enough, Lerix started writing songs, and joined ciphers in high school with his friends in the lunchroom. Lerix's music is often compared with hip hop heavy weights like Mos Def, Lupe Fiasco, Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul. In 2009, Lerix gained the opportunity to meet with record A&R's. Although the didn't not lead to a deal the meetings did help Lerix realize he wouldn't compromise his persona to fit into the "industry model." During the past year Lerix gained new perspectives on life and has not stopped recording music. Lerix released "It's a (W)Rap...Again!" in July 2010 and released his debut EP "New Heights" in November 2011. His new project "Audio Arcade" is set to be released in the summer of 2011.
