Las Vegas, NV (Top40 Charts/ Jake Records) Jake Records, a leading independent record label, today announced the release of a charity album for Japanese disaster relief. The aptly titled "Jake for Japan" album features twelve original Hip Hop recordings from members of the Jake Records family, as well as other artists who wished to contribute to the cause. All proceeds from the album will be donated directly to relief organizations working on the ground in Japan.
The album features tracks from Money B, BINC, Dainjamental, Drew Martin, Boy Genius, Warren J, Esinchill and more. It was produced shortly after the March earthquake events that struck in Japan. "We felt this overwhelming sense of wanting to be able to do something to help," said Jake Records founder and CEO Scott Thomas. "There's always this rush of donations and outpouring that comes right after something like this, but we felt our efforts would be better suited towards something like this album. Sales will trickle in for months, and hopefully years, and all of those funds will be donated to organizations that we can verify are already working on the ground in Japan. This way, we feel, we can financially back and extend real efforts that are already underway," he added.
The album is available as a digital only release, and is available through the following online music stores:
iTunes (US): https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/jake-for-japan/id438841670
Amazon.com MP3: https://www.amazon.com/Jake-for-Japan-Explicit/dp/B0051U7CFA
The album is also available in international editions of these same stores.
"This is a classic example of independent musicians pooling together their talent for a worthwhile cause," said Jake Records VP/Operations Aaron Jones. "Every one of the participants in this project were quick to donate a track, and have been eagerly awaiting this release, to go out and promote it, and do their part for the people of Japan. We're thankful for the opportunity to do this," he added.
The label also noted that longtime digital distribution partner IRIS Distribution has agreed to waive all fees for this release, meaning that a true 100% of all sales will be donated.
