New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Jaguar Land Rover North America) WHAT: 'Range Rover Evoque Live' marked a global interactive music event uniting international artists who performed simultaneously in Milan, New York and Shanghai, all to support the launch of the all-new 2012 Range Rover Evoque. Guests and fans in New York witnessed an amazing performance by singing sensation Cee Lo Green. "It was very cool and exhilarating to be a part of it. New York is a great place, there's no doubt about it," said Green. The concert opened with a DJ set by
Solange Knowles; and then simultaneously, Range Rover Evoque united the world with two additional concerts, featuring performances by
Mark Ronson in Shanghai and
Paolo Nutini in Milan. Throughout the 'Range Rover Evoque Live' concert in New York City a large LED screen on stage showcased highlights of the live performances occurring in Shanghai and Milan; creating a digitally integrated experience of the three most exciting cities in the world.
'Range Rover Evoque Live' marked the beginning of the Evoque Experience, a global tour bringing the Evoque to more than 100 cities globally and the next phase of the Pulse of The City project, a campaign to introduce the newest addition to the Range Rover family. The Evoque, itself, was on site all day so guests could touch and feel the brand's first compact, city model, and will continue be on site through Friday, May 27th at the Winter Garden in NYC. There will also be a unique interactive Range Rover experience opened to the public for the week- with videos and images of the numerous options - so consumers can get to know the vehicle and even customize one for themselves.
TV personality Vanessa Minnillo hosted the kick-off to the global tour of the Range Rover Evoque, the smallest, lightest, most fuel efficient Range Rover ever produced, where she welcomed a crowd of 1,000 Land Rover fans. Vanessa introduced the talented opening DJ act Solange Knowles, a Range Rover Evoque City Shaper - part of the Pulse of The City campaign - who got the crowd going for an hour-long set before Vanessa introduced the Pulse of The City short film. The film as well as the Range Rover Evoque was inspired by the colors, shapes and sounds of urban cities like New York. Before Cee Lo Green hit the stage, Range Rover digitally connected all three cities, at 11:30am in New York, 5:30pm in Milan and 11:30pm in Shanghai, for a unique live experience. Cee Lo Green opened with his hit single "Lady Killer." Mark Ronson's "Valerie," Paulo Nutini's "Pencil Full of Lead," and Cee Lo's "Bright Lights Bigger City," were simulcast for the global audience. Cee Lo closed the show with his Grammy award-winning hit "Forget You."
