NEW YORK (Roots Fans Website) - Less than two years after the groundbreaking Phrenology, the legendary Roots have just finished The Tipping Point and plan to release it this June. While The Roots usually tour for close to three years between albums, the Philadelphia band has already completed the follow up to their 2003 Grammy nominated album. "The Tipping Point is the sum of our 6 records and our 12 years as a band. Most of our album titles are chosen to reflect on the mood of where the group is and we feel as though this album is our biggest step," Ahmir guestlove Thompson said in a statement. The project boasts appearances by Jean Grae, Martin Luther, Devin The Dude, Captain Kirk Douglas and Dave Chappelle with outside production from Scott Storch. The crew is already filming a video for the Storch produced "Don't Say Nuthin." The Roots' Tipping Point is scheduled to hit stores on June 29.
