Jackson, MI (Top40 Charts/ Kings of Rock Entertainment) Rockapalooza will welcome its neighbors from the north as Canadian post hardcore band Silverstein takes the stage June 25, at the Jackson County Fairgrounds, Jackson, Michigan.

"I am looking forward to having Silverstein play. " offers promoter Tim Corser, CEO of Kings of Rock Entertainment. "They are a very unique addition to Rockapalooza."

About Silverstein
Silverstein is a Canadian post-hardcore band from Burlington, Ontario, formed in 2000. Their band name is a reference to the famous children's author Shel Silverstein, whom the band had admired and read the stories of as children. They have released a total of four studio albums, three EP's, a compilation album and a live DVD/CD.

Silverstein's lineup, which has remained unchanged since the band signed to Victory Records, consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Shane Told, guitarists Neil Boshart and Josh Bradford, bass guitarist and backing vocalist Billy Hamilton, and drummer Paul Koehler.

The band achieved moderate success with their second studio album, Discovering The Waterfront, reaching #34 on the Billboard 200 charts, with the following two albums charting at similar positions.[

The band left long time record label, Victory Records in 2010, and are currently signed with Hopeless Records and Universal Music. They are also currently working on writing and recording their next studio album titled Rescue, which will be released on April 26, 2011. An EP titled Transitions was released on December 7 as precursor, with two songs taken from the upcoming full length album

About Rockapalooza

About Rockapalooza
Rockapalooza started in 2008 with 17 bands playing on Mechanic Street in conjunction with one of The Crazy Cowboy's race week street parties. Since Corser has developed it into a dynamite event that has taken over most of the fairgrounds.
Last year 30 bands took to three stages over the event. This included headliners Sevendust, Otep and Egypt Central, with Bury Tomorrow, coming in from Southampton/Portsmouth, England. This year Chiodos, Silverstein, Sleeping with Sirens, Mushroomhead, Sore Eyes, Violets for Verona, State Your Cause, Shallow Side, Killjay, As Summer Dies, Hollow Drive, Lifeline, Oh No Fiasco, and Despite the Risk, with others to be announced will take the stage.

As Corser enjoys homes in both Spring Arbor, Michigan and Nashville, Tennessee, it should not come as any surprise to find that this lineup will include bands from Michigan to southern Florida, and points in between. "With so many bands booked, there's enough variety that anyone who likes rock music should find something they like," Corser said.

Comedian Pauly "The Weasel" Shore will emcee the show. Immediately recognized for his MTV VJ fame, he appeared in the movies, Encino Man, Son in Law, In the Army Now, Jury Duty and Bio-Dome. He will also do a pre-show the night before Rockapalooza. Tickets NOW available at CK Barrymore in downtown Jackson next to the Michigan Theatre. VIP Tix are still available for only $20 and General Admission are only $10. Also purchase your tickets online at etix.com. Don't miss out.

K 105.3 is the official station of ROCKAPALOOZA. Listen next week for your chance to hear announcements for Rockapalooza and chances to win prize packs, tickets and meet n greets all throughout the month of March, April, May and June.
