New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Blkmarket Membership) On Saturday 16th April, Blkmarket Membership brings you the long awaited Cityfox showcase. Cityfox is one of the best nightclubs in the world based in Zurich. Every artist that has played there will tell you that. Their self titled record label has been on fire with each release topping the previous one. Their roster of residents are made up of some of the elite players in the scene and Blkmarket Membership is very excited to bring the full Cityfox sound to New York.
Mark Henning sound sits somewhere between house and techno, with a healthy dose of groove, funk, swing, deepness and wierdness. Over the years, he's steadily released tracks on labels such as Freude Am Tanzen, Einmaliens Musik, Cynosure, Clink and an album on Soma Recordings. His recent release Lucky J on Cityfox was a massive release for him and played by alot of the jocks in the industry. Now part of this club's resident roster, Mark Henning brings us a very special live PA set.
Lee Jones is one half of the former duo MyMy. This is not his first time in town, but it will be his first time solo since MyMy went their own seperate ways. In 2008 he released his first full length album 'Electronic Frank' on AUS Music. In 2009 his YoYo E.P on Cityfox was one of the biggest releases of the year. In 2010 he released his latest mix compilation on the popular Watergate series. Its safe to say he's been on a steady rise since his last New York appearance. Lee Jones will be performing a hybrid live/DJ set not to be missed.
Gregorythme is one half of the Cadenza duo Digitaline. He has been releasing as Gregorythme since 2006 on labels such as Bruchstuecke, Minibar, Sushitech, Minimood, Phictiv and Cityfox. In all releases, he has showed a taste for pure grooves and psychedelic athmospheres and has definied himself more as a song maker than a tool maker. He will performing live for this event.
CItyfox resident Dejan will be kicking things off for the night.
Last but not least, Blkmarket Membership resident Fahad will be closing out the party solo.
