VANCOUVER (EBay/Diana Krall Fans Website) - Jazz diva Diana Krall will play a small, intimate concert in Vancouver Friday night with her husband Elvis Costello and close friend Elton John.
It's a fundraiser for Vancouver General Hospital's leukemia bone marrow transplant unit where Krall's mother, Adella, was a patient before she died.

Krall began the dinner concerts after her mother was diagnosed. And she says she wants to keep them small. "It started as a lovely event," says Krall. "We wanted to keep it a lovely event, and keep the integrity of where we started, especially this first year without our mother."

But this year's event will feature the additional of Krall's husband, singer-songwriter Elvis Costello. "It's a great gift to be invited into a family and to be able to take part," he says.

The show will be held in the ballroom of the Hotel Vancouver. Tickets, issued to a select few, started at $550 each although one recently sold on EBay for $5,500.
The money will be used to expand the leukemia bone marrow transplant unit adding room for 36 more outpatients a day. So far, the special evening with Diana Krall have generated more than half a million dollars for VGH with this latest effort expected to add another $350,000 to that total.
